- Gurgaon to Gaurikund is approximately 450 to 470 km by road and takes around 12 to 14 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Gaurikund is the base camp for the Kedarnath trek so this is one of the most important legs of your Chardham journey.
- The route goes Gurgaon → Haridwar → Rishikesh → Rudraprayag → Sonprayag → Gaurikund. Roads up to Rishikesh are smooth and highway standard. From Rishikesh onwards the roads become narrow and winding through the mountains — proper mountain driving experience is essential.
- Road conditions are best from May to June and September to October. Monsoon season from July to August brings landslide risks and route closures so avoid completely.
- For a group trip with comfort and safety on these mountain stretches, Force Urbania Van on Rent in Gurgaon is an excellent choice; superior suspension, hill assist and spacious seating make mountain roads much more manageable.
