- Traveling with kids is never without its surprises, but our journey through Orlando International Airport (MCO) with Southwest Airlines MCO Terminal started off smoother than we could’ve hoped. The moment we arrived at Terminal A, we noticed how clean, calm, and well-marked everything was—especially helpful when you’re managing two kids, a stroller, and several suitcases. A Southwest staff member greeted us with a smile and quickly offered help with our bags, which set a kind, reassuring tone for the rest of our experience. The check-in area was bright and open, and we breezed through the process with self-serve kiosks that were easy to navigate—even with little hands trying to “help.” Staff were nearby at every step to answer questions and guide us when we needed it, and they handled our stroller and car seat with care and zero confusion. We really appreciated how family-conscious the terminal felt; wide walkways, clean family restrooms, and even seating areas that allowed us to spread out made the space feel less like a high-traffic airport and more like a thoughtfully designed space. Even the energy of the terminal felt upbeat and relaxed, with plenty of colorful murals and kid-friendly vibes that gave us a taste of Orlando’s charm.
