Hi, My family recently departed from on United Airlines Albany International Airport for their vacation, and I accompanied them to assist them throughout the airport. The United Airlines truly impressed us with how elderly-friendly everything was. Check-in was easy, and the United personnel assisted them with wheelchair support immediately. The airport is well laid out, so nothing felt confusing or too far to walk. Security was kind and respectful with them, and that really helped. When we arrived at the gate, we had loads of seating room, and one of the agents went so far as to volunteer to let them pre-board ahead of us when we didn't ask for it. Such attentiveness is a godsend when you're flying with elderly. They reported that the flight was smooth and punctual, but what impressed them the most was that the United team was so calm and cooperative. It is not always that way in larger cities. My family had a fantastic beginning to their journey, and that comfort of mind is priceless. If you are having elderly relatives fly with you, I highly suggest the United Terminal of Albany Airport for a smooth, dignified experience.
