- As a parent juggling kids and travel bags, having access to the Newark Airport Smoking Area was a welcome comfort. We were traveling to Florida with a layover at Newark Liberty International Airport. While my wife and kids grabbed snacks, I appreciated being able to step outside to the smoking zone without any confusion or inconvenience. The Newark Airport Smoking Area near Terminal C was clean, with plenty of ashtrays and trash bins. The space was clearly marked and located far enough from the main terminal doors that it didn’t interfere with pedestrian traffic or the comfort of non-smokers. It made me feel like the airport had thoughtfully considered all travelers' needs, including those who smoke. What really stood out was how close the smoking area was to nearby services, convenience stores, restrooms, and food courts were just steps away, which was great for our family. I never felt like I had to choose between staying with them or quickly using the designated area. I especially appreciated that the staff were friendly and even offered guidance on finding the best route back through security. Little things like that matter when you're traveling with young children and trying to stick to a tight schedule. In summary, Newark Airport was a helpful part of our travel day. It’s one of those underappreciated amenities that make a stressful trip just a little bit smoother. I give credit to Newark for recognizing its importance and managing it so well.
